This role aligns with our service delivery strategy and will involve providing project management for a variety of service development projects and QI activities. The role holder will also provide direct project support to discrete pieces of work for the CFHD senior leadership team.
In addition, the role holder will provide leadership for Business Administration Coordinators that encourages a partnership approach to the administration support provided to teams.
The role holder will work as part of a team in partnership with external stakeholders, Clinical Directorate Teams, corporate departments, and with groups or individuals who use services to provide support in the delivery of significant developments and improvements across the CFHD and Health Community.
Main Duties of the Job
You will provide expertise and project management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of a range of functions across CFHD so that systems and processes are leaner and make better use of available resources while enhancing reliability and customer focus.
1. Responsibility for managing/leading projects or specified work streams that support wider transformation and improvement programmes.
2. Working with colleagues, the post-holder will work alongside service and team managers to ensure administrators are integrated into teams as valuable team members in delivering good quality care and treatment, ensuring that consistent processes and standards are in place to allow high-quality service provision and effective governance.
3. Specific additional responsibilities to be agreed which could include day-to-day supervision of CFHD support staff.
4. Co-ordination and provision of routine and bespoke reports, either written or data analysis extracted from information systems as and when required.
5. Develop and update communication and engagement information on behalf of the team/sub-team such as intranet, Partnership Progress, intranet/internet, special bulletins, social media, training briefings/invites, etc.
6. Undertake specific and discrete project support responsibilities working directly with and for the CFHD Director, Deputy Director, and members of the senior leadership team, as required in line with the above duties.

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) comprises an Alliance of NHS organisations working together to improve health outcomes for children and young people in Devon.
CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health which are provided by Torbay and South Devon Foundation Trust and Devon Partnership Trust. We are working closely with other organisations and providers to ensure we deliver locality and county-wide based integrated access to all of our services, based on the i-Thrive Framework.
CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake postgraduate training.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide project management support to deliver on agreed areas of service development work in line with CFHD organisational and ICS priorities.
2. The role is a collaborative one, working with operational managers, clinical leads, and other staff across CFHD and involves working with system leaders across a range of partner organisations.
3. Analyse existing processes to inform the review and redesign of practices and processes requiring improvement, while also addressing training and development requirements of self or colleagues, where appropriate.
4. Interpret complex information which relates to project outcomes and ensure this is communicated effectively to the line manager, project team, and others as required.
5. Undertake analysis of information interpreting any trends, patterns, and gaps. Prepare material to present this information and communicate it back to the information requester.
6. As directed by members of the CFHD Senior Leadership Team, liaise with relevant senior managers/clinicians across the trust regarding any proposed service changes that affect them and facilitate any communications as requested.

Experience
* Experience of managing administration staff.
* Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Experience of building management including health and safety and security and fire safety.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Adaptable in continuous change and able to learn quickly.
* Excellent understanding of clinic systems.

Qualifications
* Business/professional qualification to degree level or equivalent knowledge and experience (e.g., managerial knowledge, project monitoring, supervisory, workload management, acquired through a degree or equivalent training and substantial experience).
* NVQ4 in administration or equivalent level administrative knowledge and experience.
* GCSE English or equivalent.
