Role Purpose:
In this role, you will lead and support procurement activities in the packaging category. Driving cost savings, supplier innovation, and sustainability initiatives. This role involves developing category strategies, optimising growth, relations, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and environmental compliance, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Category Buying: Support packaging activities, develop category strategies, and analyze suppliers, markets, and supply chains to meet business needs.
* Supplier Relationship Management: Build strong supplier partnerships, drive innovation, and ensure compliance with ethical, environmental, and regulatory standards.
* Inventory Control: Manage inventory and surplus stock, collaborating with stakeholders to align category strategies.
* Cost Optimisation: Deliver cost-reduction strategies, achieve procurement targets, and report on PPV with corrective actions.
Requirements:
* Strong category Packaging buying and supplier relationship management experience (essential)
* Strong drive to deliver results and build relations at all levels (essential)
* Background from FMCG or Food (ideally)
