Your Key Responsibilities: As a flexible Learning Support Assistant, your role will include: Supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Assisting students in a classroom setting, in small groups, or on a one-to-one basis, adapting support strategies to meet individual needs. Promoting positive behaviour and fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies. Providing additional help during lessons to ensure all students can access the curriculum effectively. Offering emotional and social support to build student's confidence and resilience. Maintaining professionalism and adhering to the school’s policies and procedures. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role is essential. A strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEND and SEMH needs. The ability to adapt quickly to different school environments and build positive relationships with students and staff. A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting young people. Excellent communication and organizational skills. A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate registered on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one.
