About the Role: As an Alternative Provision Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional assistance outside of mainstream education. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support, helping students to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Your role will involve one-on-one and small group interventions, assisting with lesson preparation, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities : Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualised learning plans for students. Provide one-on-one and small group support to help students understand and engage with their studies. Use evidence-based strategies to support students in developing their academic and practical skills. Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate interactions. Assist in the preparation of lesson materials and classroom activities. Maintain detailed records of student progress and interventions. Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student development. Work with counselors, social workers, and other professionals to address the broader needs of students and their families. Requirements Previous experience in a similar role or working with students with additional needs. A genuine passion for supporting students in alternative provision settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Relevant qualifications or training in education are desirable. Why Join Us?
