We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client Belfast. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contractor/consulting environments, demonstrating expertise in post-contract cost management and construction phase surveying. This role requires hands-on client experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Salary is fully negotiable. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. Conduct post-contract cost management and oversee the financial progress of projects. Perform detailed construction phase surveying, ensuring projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards. Provide expert advice on contractual claims and procurement strategies. Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and management. Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for project improvements and cost savings. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. Requirements: 5 - 20 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a significant portion in contractor/consulting roles. Proven experience in post-contract cost management and construction phase surveying. Hands-on client experience with a focus on delivering excellent service. Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Proficient in relevant software and tools used in quantity surveying. Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent is highly desirable.
