At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 7. Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and ground control services. RAF Brize Norton is the largest operating base within the Royal Air Force, providing air transport and air-to-air refuelling to the RAF fleet, you will contribute enormously to the vital work carried out here. You’ll also be part of the wider team, with 5, service personnel, 1, contractors and civil servants on site.
The Serco C- Aircraft Wheel & Tyre Bay Senior Technician is responsible for the effective delivery of their C- Aircraft Wheel & Tyre Bay maintenance activities.
Working Regime:
Mon-Fri Hour week
: hrs -: Mon -Thu
: hrs- : Fri Overtime as required.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Completing maintenance, inspections, repair and rectification of RAF Brize Norton C- aircraft Wheels & Tyres and associated equipment.
2. Completing the removal inspection and refit of assemblies and components - working in accordance with maintenance schedules, workshop manuals, technical publications and parts catalogues.
3. Ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely fashion and to health and safety, fire, emergency evacuation, quality, risk, and COSHH standards and procedures.
4. Maintaining a clear, safe, tidy, effective and efficient working environment.

7. Serco Operating Procedures.
Must ensure that the maintenance and documentation is always complete, correct and “right first time - every time”.
What you need to do the job:
Essential skills and experience:
8. Ability to effectively and safely complete technical maintenance and rectification tasks.
9. Functional IT skills to use Electronic Technical Manuals and to update Maintenance Recording systems.
10. Be an excellent team player with a “can-do safely” approach to work.
11. Must have high standards of oral and written communication skills.
Desirable skills and experience:
12. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) Engineering Maintenance.
13. Aviation engineering maintenance experience.
