My 3 Limited is recruiting enthusiastic individuals to support children and young people with Autism and Learning Disabilities in the Billinge area of Wigan. We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing care and assistance to individuals in need. This role requires compassion, patience, and the ability to support individuals with various needs.

Responsibilities
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will work directly with the children and young people, providing appropriate support, guidance, and supervision from the senior leadership team.
Your role includes supporting young people in their day-to-day routines, which encompass:
1. Providing emotional support.
2. Promoting learning and supporting attendance at education.
3. Assisting with homework.
4. Participation in home activities and community-based interests (e.g., attending clubs).
5. Working with young people to develop interests and improve life skills.
6. Promoting self-sufficiency and building resilience.
7. Facilitating and supporting family relationships, where appropriate.
You will be expected to be a good role model, embrace rights, encourage healthy lifestyles, support young people in having their health needs met, promote well-being, help young people develop safe decision-making skills, and work in a manner that ensures their safety.
All staff need to be good communicators, both in written and verbal forms, and be IT competent; all staff receive appropriate training to ensure such tasks can be completed to the required standard.
Minimum Requirements
We assess potential My 3 Limited Residential Support Workers against the following criteria:
1. Experience: Experience in a relevant setting with knowledge and experience of supporting children and young people is desirable but not essential; transferable skills are recognized by My 3 Limited.
2. Qualifications: Level 3/4 desirable but not essential (training to achieve the necessary professional qualifications will be provided to successful candidates).
3. Skills: Resilience, good humor, empathy, stamina, and a good understanding of children, including but not limited to young people with autism, learning disabilities, and associated conditions.
4. Personality: Approachable, good listener, honest, trustworthy, reliable, and fun to be with. Must have the ability to establish professional relationships with children, develop trust, understand and recognize boundaries, and know how to relate to children and play.
All the above personality traits are essential.
Additional Requirements:
1. Ability to undertake sleep-in duty where required.
2. Good communicator/good listener.
3. Be both physically and emotionally fit.
4. Be flexible in response to changing needs within the service.
5. Be a driver with a car and hold a clean license.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, 160hr contract per month.
Pay: £12 per hour unqualified; £13.14 for Level 3-4 qualified in children's residential care or equivalent.
