The Role:
We are looking for a motivated School Maintenance Officer to provide their expertise to ensure a safe and clean environment. In this Temp role, you will be responsible for managing the upkeep of school facilities, such as cleaning classrooms, hallways, and restrooms to ensure hygiene standards are met while also providing minor repairs, painting, and decorating where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Performing routine maintenance and repairs on school infrastructure, including fixing broken fixtures, handling minor electrical issues, and addressing plumbing concerns.
2. Setting up and taking down equipment for school events, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
3. Assisting with groundskeeping tasks such as, but not limited to, lawn care and snow removal.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:
1. Experience: At least 6 months to 1 year of maintenance experience in any setting, secondary school setting preferred.
2. Training: Experience in a professional setting working in maintenance, repairs, or groundskeeping.
3. Skills: Competence in basic maintenance and repair tasks to fix minor repairs.
Location:
This role is based in Nottingham, within a well-established secondary school. The school is easily accessible by public transport and offers a supportive working environment.
