Infrastructure Operations Engineer c. £55,000 per annum Bedford Based Hybrid Working Permanent As an Infrastructure Operations Engineer you will support the IT Service Manager to keep these service and solutions operating to or above their availability and functionality targets. You will be responsible for the preparation and support of IT operations solutions and services, whether physical or virtual. You will adhere to industry and organizational best practices, standards, service requirements, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) throughout the product life cycle. In this role, you will create and maintain documentation, perform all routine tasks according to established processes and checklists, monitor infrastructure and application services alerts, and take appropriate action as necessary. In this role you will be responsible for the following; IT infrastructure: To build, configure, administer and support infrastructure technologies and solutions. These technologies and solutions can include computing, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial-off-the-shelf software (COTS), and open-source packages and solutions. They can also include virtual and cloud computing such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS). Problem management: To investigate problems in systems, processes and services, with an understanding of the level of a problem (for example, strategic, tactical or operational). Contribute to the implementation of remedies and preventative measures. Troubleshooting and problem resolution: To troubleshoot and identify problems across different technology capabilities. Service Monitoring: Performing routine system checks to confirm solutions and service are running correctly, providing information/reports on capacity and usage trends across our live services. Information Security: Discuss information security and security controls that can be used to mitigate security threats within MaPS. Regularly check that the solutions and services remain in their defined security posture. Project support: Provide guidance and steer for technology approaches in projects, suggesting best practice and challenging approaches where required Azure System Administration: Provide guidance and perform routine maintenance/tasks within Azure and Entra ID software supporting in Identity and Access Management as well as reviewing current implementations and making recommendations and improvements You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience; ESSENTIAL Azure operational experience (min 2 years) PowerShell scripting experience ITIL awareness Dynamics 365 experience including CRM DESIRABLE Adobe AEM experience AWS experience Azure Function App experience JIRA ITSM tool Experience Fabric/Power Automate/Platform experience Support of call centre including VOIP Telephony technology experience Website monitoring tool experience e.g. logic monitor Cyber Security essentials/ISO27001 awareness ITIL Foundation qualification Azure Monitor, Kusto, Application Insights Scripting experience (SQL, Python, C#, BASH) About MaPS At MaPS, we help people - particularly those most in need - to improve their financial wellbeing and build a better, more confident future.
