Daniel Owen Agency are currently recruiting for PTS De-Vegetation / Rope Access Operatives to work on rail infrastructure projects in Reading and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced individuals to join a well-established team, carrying out vegetation management and rope access work in a challenging but rewarding environment.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\nAs a PTS De-Vegetation / Rope Access Operative, your duties will include but are not limited to:\n\nCarrying out vegetation clearance, tree felling, and hedge cutting in accordance with safety regulations.\nUtilising chainsaws and hedge cutters to remove overgrown vegetation affecting railway infrastructure.\nConducting rope access work to safely access difficult or hazardous areas.\nEnsuring all tasks are completed in compliance with health and safety standards and environmental guidelines.\nWorking effectively as part of a team to deliver projects efficiently and to a high standard.\nConducting daily equipment checks and maintenance to ensure tools are safe and operational.\nAdhering to all railway safety procedures, including compliance with PTS regulations.\nCompleting any additional tasks as required by site supervisors and project managers.\n\nRequirements:\n\nTo be considered for this role, candidates must have the following qualifications and certifications:\n\nCS30/CS31 - Chainsaw NPTC/Lantra Equivalent\nNPTC/Lantra Equivalent - Hedgecutter\nIRATA Rope Access Level 1\nPTS (Personal Track Safety) Certification\n\nAdditional Information:\n\nThe role will primarily involve day shifts, but candidates must be flexible and willing to work occasional night shifts as required by the project schedule.\nLocal candidates are preferred due to the nature of the work and shift requirements.\nCandidates must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be physically fit due to the demanding nature of the role.\nA strong understanding of railway safety procedures and previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.If you have the relevant qualifications and experience, and you're on the lookout for work, please feel free to contact the London Rail team on (phone number removed), to discuss further
