If the answer is yes, this could be the opportunity for you The Opportunity Our client is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Quality Control (QC) to join a leading engineering consultancy. This role involves ensuring that electrical work meets required quality and compliance standards, both on-site and at subcontractor facilities. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary quality team, managing supply chain quality and performing inspections to support project delivery. The role This role has been deemed inside IR35, on a 6 Months Contract Based in Reading/Hybrid/Travel to Subcontractors Work Pattern Alternating weeks (4 x 10hr days, 5 x 8hr days) Your duties and responsibilities will be Conduct quality control inspections of electrical installations, both internally delivered and subcontracted. Ensure compliance with management systems, client requirements, and national regulatory standards. Work collaboratively with supply chain partners, supporting audits, pre-qualification assessments, and ongoing performance monitoring. Provide early-stage QC input into design specifications and documentation. Produce and review essential quality documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Cable Cards, and Inspection & Checklists (ICLs). Prepare Lifetime Records (LTR) packages for project handovers. Monitor supplier selection and management systems to maintain high-quality standards. Occasionally travel for site visits and subcontractor assessments as required.You will have the following experience and skills Experienced with LTQR Packages,ITP production and review.The setting for the role Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
