Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit a Site Engineer with experience of major civils works, such as earth works, setting out, shaft sinking, large diameter gravity pipelines, rising mains, tunnelling and surveying for a new pumping station installation projects on the Thames Water Capital Delivery Framework in Thames Valley.
As Site Engineer you will be part of the delivery team and will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely engineering data to support design, construction and handover of infrastructure projects.
As the Site Engineer your duties and responsibilities will be:
* Ensure all work meets the required quality standards and complies with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
* Oversee daily operations on sites, including the coordination of materials, setting out etc.
* Address and resolve any issues on site, such as design changes.
* Complete site engineer diaries.
* Track and document project progress, including work completed
* Produce as-built drawings and sketches.
* Prepare and present regular reports on project status, including progress and challenges.
* Complete a SHE6 audit.
* Record site safety observations
* Ensure all mandatory training is complete and kept up to date
* At all times when on a live working site, full PPE to be worn with Thames branding on the required items
* Interpret and check drawings, specifications and schedules for all activities, directing works accordingly and prepare final documentation
* Ensure all technical information is available when required for the delivery of design and/or construction.
Skills And Knowledge Requirements
* Experience within the water industry essential and specifically within pumping station surveys, design and as-built management.
* Good technical and computer skills, ability to operate CAD and Microsoft suite.
* Able to carry out setting out requirements for pipelines, structures and no dig techniques using GPS, LEICA Robotic Total Stations and Digital Levels.
* Able to set out and level
* Experience working on a construction site with site supervision experience
* Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
* Fully conversant with the use of robotic total station instruments
* Experienced and confident in the setting out of earthworks and structures
* Experience of AutoCAD
* Able to produce as-built drawings
* Produce outline design drawings
* Raise TQs and liaise with designers
* Identify installation positions
* Assist with construction activities and coordination
* Survey and create as-constructed drawings
* Assist in creation of handover documentation
* Assist in handover with Operations
Qualifications
* Preferably degree, HND, HNC or equivalent qualified in engineering.
* SMSTS
* Thames Water passport
* CSCS
