Responsibilities
Main duties:
1. Reporting to the Project and Procurement Director, responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier contracts for materials and services on major infrastructure projects, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with client requirements.
2. Negotiate, source, and procure materials, equipment, and services at competitive prices.
3. Manage both large projects and new client relationships.
4. Support existing customers through direct communication with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
5. Provide clients with compliant, competitive, and clear offers that meet their technical and commercial needs.
6. Ensure a thorough understanding of customer requirements before proceeding with orders.
7. Manage supplier contracts to optimize costs, quality, and delivery, and selecting suppliers.
8. Consult with management on bid finalization, ensuring profitability, and checking compliance of sales orders.
9. Record all tasks accurately, meeting deadlines, and ensuring timely handover of sales orders.
10. Build a network of suitable suppliers and maintain professional skills to deliver high-quality procurement services.
11. Support team members with expertise and manage the sales order backlog to meet KPIs.
Candidate's Profile
1. Procurement, supply chain, or international buying experience.
2. Additional fluency in French, advantageous (written and spoken).
3. Good knowledge of industry/equipment/suppliers related to infrastructure projects.
4. A buyer with a broad technical understanding.
5. Knowledgeable about international trade.
6. Ideally experience working with clients in Africa and the Middle East.
7. Well-organized, capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines.
8. Proactive, able to solve issues independently and seek assistance when necessary.
