As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will be an integral part of our client's engineering team, contributing to both design and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Design Engineering: Assist in the development of innovative mechanical designs for new products and components. Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software. Collaborate with senior design engineers to develop prototypes and test solutions. Perform design analysis, including stress and strain calculations, to ensure product integrity. Support the R&D team in the development of new technologies and materials. Manufacturing Engineering Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are optimised for production. Assist in the development and improvement of manufacturing processes, including tooling design and process flow. Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving quality, and increasing efficiency. Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles across production lines. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the manufacturing process. Skills & Qualifications degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the company. Desirable Previous internship or placement experience in a mechanical or manufacturing engineering role. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
