Role Overview
This interim part-time role (4 days per week) within the Mid-Value Programme focuses on maximising income and cultivating relationships with small trust donors. The post holder will lead on small trust mailings, supporting the broader programme's success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead on small trust mailings, including emergency and bespoke appeals.
2. Ensure effective donor stewardship through updates, reports, thank you letters, and query responses.
3. Lead on selected stewardship mailings across the programme.
4. Contribute to the production of joint appeals.
5. Process invoices, maintain trust records, and ensure accurate income coding.
6. Provide efficient administrative support to the Philanthropy team.
7. Represent the charity at donor meetings and networking events.
8. Maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and freelancers.
9. Coordinate with internal Humanitarian, Programme, Major Donor, and Income Processing teams.
Person Specification
10. Experience in the charity sector, preferably in fundraising.
11. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
12. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write eloquently, accurately, and persuasively.
13. Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and engagingly.
14. Confidence in communicating with potential donors by phone and in person.
15. Proficiency in conducting detailed research.
16. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
17. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
18. Proficiency in database, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
19. Highly developed administrative skills.
