Job Title: Physical Security Specialist

Salary: Circa £46,000 depending on experience
What you'll be doing:
* Support physical security assurance of the Shared Services supply chain, integrating it into a comprehensive security strategy
* Assist the Regional Security Manager with daily security operations across Shared Services sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
* Contribute to supply chain security risk assessments and mitigation activities, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
* Support implement and periodically review Standard Operating Procedures for Shared Services sites, aligning with business continuity and crisis management plans
* Oversee the delivery and performance of guarding operations, addressing issues as they arise across all Shared Services sites
* Manage the delivery of the security maintenance and support contract, ensuring consistent performance and resolving any challenges
* Provide security advice, guidance, and inductions for new Shared Services staff, while addressing security requests and queries
* Participate in risk assessments, contingency planning, and incident management, adapting to evolving threats and operational needs
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
* Proven experience in conducting security assurance activities
* Demonstrated ability to deliver physical and operational security solutions
* Proficient in writing, reviewing, and implementing security plans and procedures
* Solid understanding of Government security requirements, particularly FSC standards
Desirable
* Familiarity with contractual and personnel security controls
* Experience in developing and implementing technical security strategies
* Ideally hold or be working towards a recognised security qualification, such as CSMP
* Background in overseeing and delivering guard force services

The Security Team:
You will be part of a small team in Shared Services providing key security outcomes for the business across a large number of sites with multiple stakeholders and a diverse portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to be in a diverse, challenging role and one where you will be helping to set how Security is delivered going forward across the business in the UK whilst ensuring we meet the needs of the business and Government security regulations.
