A change in directorate portfolios will provide the environment for a motivated individual to work collaboratively to improve patient care and medicines safety across all parts of the surgical patient journey.
Main Duties of the Job
To be responsible for the provision of a high-quality clinical pharmacy service to surgical services (specifically general surgery, urology, obstetrics & gynaecology).
To liaise with and provide medicines management reports for the Planned & Surgical Care directorates to ensure safe, effective, cost-efficient prescribing.

Job Responsibilities
To lead the organization and development of the pharmacy service to surgical services specifically general surgery, urology, obstetrics & gynaecology.
To provide a pharmacy lead service.
To identify and promote best practice medicines use across the Planned and Surgical directorate.
To participate in consultant/specialist ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
To produce prescribing guidelines and care pathways for patients across the Planned & Surgical directorate.
To undertake risk management, including investigating clinical incidents in surgical services and ensure compliance with medicine legislation.
To proactively undertake and develop Quality Improvement initiatives across the directorate and organization.

Salary: £53,755 to £60,504 a year per annum pro rata.
