Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the strategic growth of LMD Cosmetics. This role will be instrumental in identifying new market opportunities, optimizing retail strategies, expanding product lines, and enhancing brand awareness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business strategy, market trends, and financial planning to support our ambitious growth goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth & Market Expansion:
1. Develop and implement a strategic growth plan aligned with LMD Cosmetics' scale-up objectives.
2. Identify new market opportunities and develop market entry strategies, including international expansion.
3. Optimize penetration tactics to increase brand reach in both existing and new geographic markets.
4. Collaborate with internal teams to refine and expand the LMD Cosmetics product line based on market research and consumer trends.
5. Identify trends in consumer demand and align product development accordingly, including knowledge of cosmetic regulations.
6. Establish and nurture relationships with new retailers, influencers, distributors, and strategic partners to enhance market presence.
7. Contribute to financial planning, including budget creation and forecasting, ensuring sustainable growth while managing profit margins and cash flow.
8. Contribute to the development of financial proposals to support business expansion.
9. Streamline operations by integrating scalable systems (CRM, Analytics platforms, etc.) and reducing reliance on manual processes.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
1. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against strategic goals.
2. Provide regular reports and insights to leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
Brand Awareness & Marketing Collaboration:
1. Leverage Louise McDonnell’s social media presence to drive brand awareness and engagement.
2. Work closely with the marketing team to align business development efforts with promotional campaigns.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Minimum three years experience in a similar role.
2. Proven experience in business development, specifically in product development, preferably within the cosmetics industry.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and financial reports.
4. Excellent relationship-building skills and experience working with retailers, influencers, and strategic partners.
5. Ability to develop and implement strategic growth plans.
6. Strong organisational and leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
7. In-depth knowledge of the beauty industry and emerging trends, including cosmetic regulations and product development.
8. Experience with CRM and analytic platforms.
