An exciting opportunity has arisen for 1x instructor post in the NARU Education team, the team dedicated to providing ongoing support influencing future generations of HART operatives.
As part of the team, the post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of a variety of NARU training including HART Modules 1 to 4, instructor courses and the delivery (on occasions) to other NHS staff and partner agencies.
NARU seeks dynamic and enthusiastic instructors with relevant and current training experience, those with the ability to share knowledge, coach individuals and ensure that each training session is patient focussed. The post holder will be passionate about delivering high quality and realistic clinical care in some of the most complex scenarios paramedics are likely to face. They must be physically fit to meet the demands of the role, ensuring training is delivered effectively and safely, often in inclement weather.
Main duties of the job
The National Ambulance Resilience Unit (NARU) Education Department provides training and support to Ambulance Trusts specialist interoperable capabilities.
* The post holder will be reporting to the NARU Training Manager. The NARU Tutor will be responsible for the development and delivery of the NARU Education programme, primarily HART initial modules 1-4 and Command course.
* They will be accountable for the delivery of education, providing expert knowledge, advice, skill and direction in the delivery of training interventions.
* This includes delivery of both clinical/technical related education, training and learning opportunities, for example, supplying specialist educational support and guidance to staff and Commanders in order to improve the dissemination of learning and facilitate the continuing professional development of staff.
* They will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing review, development and maintenance of quality and standards for clinical educational services and systems in relation to Interoperable Capabilities.
* They will work in collaboration with clinical governance and managerial colleagues to provide assessment and mentoring opportunities that will contribute to the improvement in the quality of patient care and clinical outcomes.

Working at the NARU Education Centre, located at the Defence CBRN Centre in Winterbourne Gunner, and other training locations around the country, you will deliver residential courses of up to six weeks duration. Qualifications
Essential
* Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification
* Level 3 Award in Adult Education or specialist knowledge within the field of Interoperable Capabilities with a commitment to successfully complete the Level 5 award within 12 months of commencing the role
* HCPC registered paramedic
* Full, current UK valid driving licence with C1 with no more than 3 penalty points
Desirable
* Qualified Ambulance Tutor or equivalent (Cert.Ed, PGCEd etc)
* Health EPRR Diploma (or be in the process of completing or able to study towards)
* Certificate in Practice Education

Essential
* Experience in teaching / education, including delivery of practical sessions
* Developing staff within a team context
* Experience of supervising and mentoring staff
* Experience of working across organisational boundaries and developing multi-disciplinary professional partnerships
