Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) Programmer/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both online and offline programming and will have extensive experience with Fanuc-controlled machines.
Key Responsibilities:
Programming & Setup:
Program, set up, and operate VMCs to produce high-quality parts.
Online & Offline Programming: Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using both online and offline methods to enhance efficiency.
Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy in production.
Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and measurements to maintain strict quality control standards and ensure compliance with specifications.
✔️Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to ensure timely completion of projects, sharing insights and feedback to improve processes.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on VMCs to keep machines in optimal condition, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and suggest improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
Requirements:
Proven experience in VMC programming and operation.
Strong knowledge of Fanuc control systems.
Ability to program both online and offline.
Familiarity with machining processes and quality control standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
