Job Description Summary In this 12-month placement, you will play a central role in digital communications for Dowty, a GE Aerospace company. You will gain an understanding of our current digital channels, contribute to an ongoing review of where and how our customers and other propeller system providers play, help create high-quality content for the business, and monitor the content’s effectiveness. You will also have the opportunity to help shape and develop our owned channels, both internal and external, to ensure we are competitive in the marketplace. Roles and responsibilities In the 12-month Digital Communications Placement, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience in digital communications including: • Review and keep track of competitor and partner communications activity. • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and use this information to suggest ways to enhance our brand’s visibility online. • Contribute to the delivery of the business’ content strategy by helping manage the end-to-end process for content creation, delivery and analysis on our internal and external channels. • Develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders to achieve communications goals, including driving the growth of Dowty’s employee ambassador program. • Work with your People Leader on digital communications projects, such as communications plans for industry and trade show events, and website and intranet upgrades. • Provide support for company events, meetings and all-employee communications. • Help to manage Dowty’s external creative agency and develop a good working relationship with the team in order to develop a library of creative assets which support business goals. • Support the management of video shoots and photo shoots where appropriate, from ideation through to storyboarding and execution. Qualifications/Requirements • Proven written skills, ideally for different channels • Currently studying or recently achieved a 2:1 degree or MA in Communication/ Marketing/ Creative Arts • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite Desired Characteristics • Knowledge and/or interest in Google Analytics 4 • Detail orientated with skills in editing and proofreading • Able to roll up your sleeves and get involved in projects • Organised & able to work towards deadlines • Inspired and curious to learn • Strong verbal communication skills • Able to work independently and take initiative A placement at GE Aerospace is an opportunity to learn while doing.
