Job Description:
Role Summary
The West of England Eye Unit are looking for a dynamic, innovative and highly motivated individual to work within our Axminster day case unit as a Band 3 Senior Theatre Support Worker.
Specialising in day case ophthalmology surgery, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team within this busy vibrant department. The role is primarily based within our Axminster site, however the successful individual would need to be flexible and may be required to rotate within the department and other community sites based in Sidmouth, Tiverton, Heavitree, Nightingale CEE and Wonford when required.
A background in either ophthalmology or operating theatres would be desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided. However a willingness and aptitude to learn new skills, combined with a friendly, caring nature to support our patients through the peri-operative journey is non-negotiable.
Every day, you will make a huge difference to the lives of the people we care for, delivering a high standard of care alongside your colleagues within WEEU (the West of England Eye Unit).
