GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join schools in Andover. As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to ensure that all students receive the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed in their learning journey. This role is ideal for individuals who want to make a meaningful impact by providing tailored support to students with additional needs. SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Assist children with special educational needs in their academic and personal development. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students requiring additional assistance. Help teachers create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Support students with classroom tasks and activities, ensuring they stay engaged. Implement strategies recommended by SENCOs to promote student progress. Monitor and record students' progress, offering feedback to teachers and parents. Qualification & Skills of a SEN TA: Experience supporting children with SEN as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, education, or something similar. CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support. Strong communication and teamwork skills. An enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one. Why Join GSL Education?
