The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Account Director to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth by selling Dynata's market research solutions to new and existing clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in market research, exceptional sales skills, and the ability to cultivate and maintain high-level client relationships.
As a Senior Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in identifying client needs, presenting tailored market research solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that provide actionable insights, helping clients make data-driven decisions. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing a portfolio of key accounts, and leading efforts to expand Dynata's market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Management
* Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, fostering strong and enduring partnerships.
* Develop and execute account strategies to align with client goals and business objectives.
* Anticipate client needs and proactively offer tailored solutions that leverage Dynata’s product offerings.
Revenue Growth
* Drive growth and profitability across a portfolio of accounts by identifying and pursuing upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
* Collaborate with internal teams to create proposals, negotiate contracts, and close high-value deals.
* Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
* Lead cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class data and insight solutions.
* Mentor junior account managers and support their professional development.
* Act as a thought leader within the organization, contributing to strategic initiatives and knowledge sharing.
Client Advocacy & Solutions Delivery
* Ensure the highest level of client satisfaction by overseeing project delivery, addressing escalations, and continuously improving processes.
* Partner with clients to understand their challenges and business goals, translating these into actionable research initiatives.
* Leverage Dynata’s advanced tools and platforms to provide insights-driven recommendations.
* Exceptional client relationship management skills, with a consultative and solutions-oriented approach.
Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in sales or account management, preferably within the market research or data solutions industry.
* Expertise in B2B and B2C insights, data analytics, or technology-enabled solutions.
* Creative thinker in the digital space and shows a willingness to stay attuned to the latest industry trends to ensure continued support for current and future clients.
* High level of commercial awareness - identifying opportunities and being prescriptive with solutions, tailoring a measurement or research plan, and negotiating and closing sales.
* Proven ability to deliver consistent results against financial targets.
* High personal drive and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills.
* Proficient in CRM tools (MS Dynamics preferred), and familiar with data platforms.
* Evidence of comprehending and communicating complex solutions.
* Understanding of market research, consumer privacy issues, and emerging trends.
* A high intellect individual who combines proven sales ability with analytical excellence, superior communication skills (presentation and written) and an ability to build strong client relationships.
* Highly organised but flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
