Job summary A 12 month secondment opportunity has arisen for an innovative and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Lead with the Coastal (Teignmouth and Dawlish) Locality. The Intermediate Care and Community Therapy Team comprises of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, paramedic and, pharmacy colleagues, nurses, support workers, social care staff and coordinators who all work closely with other multi professional colleagues within the wider locality. The Coastal Health and Wellbeing team are renowned for their integrated and supportive approach with colleagues from across Allied Health Professions, Community nursing, Social Care and the Voluntary sector. The team are friendly and supportive and work together to meet the needs of patients in the community as best as they can whilst also supporting each other. This 12 month secondment has arisen due to wider structural changes to support development of intermediate care and community services across South Devon and this post would be a key part in supporting this model to be a success The team are creative and always keen to explore new ways of working to improve patient care and service delivery.
