Job Description
The role itself will encompass a wide range of Lease Accounting tasks. This role will work within our property accounts team and collaborate closely with other members of the Accounts and Expansion/Legal teams. You will work in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
* Responsible for all rent related costs - Fixed Rent, Turnover Rent, Service charge, Insurance, storage, Merchant association fees.
* Along with the Lease Admin, ensure landlords / Agents receive Turnover certificates according to lease conditions as well as ensuring all leases for IFRS 16 & Non IFRS 16 have been updated on Lima.
* Responsible for Emails - Remittances, Payment queries, Turnover queries and completion statements.
* Working with external auditors.
* The preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations for lease assets and liabilities / prepayments and accruals to a high standard with key differences reconciled, explained, followed up and resolved in a timely manner.
* Support the Senior Accountant and the Lease Admin with ad hoc requests.
* Working with various stakeholders to provide information to meet internal reporting deadlines and external regulatory requirements.
* Embrace change and continuously seek out improvements.

In this role, you will collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the successful expansion of the business. You will work closely with Accounts and Expansion teams, providing key insights and recommendations.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for people with experience in Lease Accounting with the interest to learn and develop in Accounting and Financial control fields.
Here state the mandatory qualifications needed for the role.
* Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant.
* Experience of working in Retail / Lease Accounting.
* Experience in Turnover Lease Accounting.
* Understanding of Capital Accounting along with experience of leasehold & property accounting and surrounding legislation.
Good to have:
* Experience in SAP.
