About The Role

As a Supervisor in our Gas team, you will lead a team of Gas Engineers to ensure the successful delivery of operations relevant to our gas and heating services across a geographical area, in line with LiveWest business objectives.
This role is a mobile role, working predominately in the Bristol area. You will ideally be based within a 30 minute commute of this patch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gas Safe Compliance: Manage and supervise the carrying out of fault finding and maintenance duties in accordance with contract and service specifications, including the registration of new gas installations for Building Control Regulations.
- Health and Safety: Ensure you and your team operate within the appropriate policies and procedures, particularly Health and Safety regulations, making sure the working environment, our property, and our customers are safe and secure at all times.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coach a team of Gas Engineers, including recruitment, induction of new starters, and all line management responsibilities.
- Customer Satisfaction: Drive customer satisfaction and results through the team by ensuring they are skilled and have the right values and behaviours to deliver the end result.
- Business Support: Lead on and assist operational colleagues in resolving difficult problems, ensuring all parties are kept informed, in line with agreed processes and service specifications.
- Procurement and Planning: Manage the ordering of materials for Gas Engineers, monitor hired equipment, and liaise with planners daily to review resource and workload.
- On-Call Participation: Take part in an out-of-hours on-call structure including resolution of escalated enquiries from external out-of-hours call provider and on call Gas Engineers.

This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis working 40 hours per week.

About The Candidate
To be successful in your application for the role of Gas Supervisor, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level two role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:
- Post-Qualification Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience (industry standard).
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of British Standards, Gas Safe, and HSE standards, along with technical diagnosis of electrical, gas, and boiler faults.
- Health and Safety Awareness: Working knowledge of Health and Safety in building and maintenance works.
- Supervisory Experience: Experience in a supervisory or management role, including recruitment and mentoring of teams.
- Communication Skills: Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
- IT Skills: Proficient in the use and application of mobile technology.
- Driving Licence: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
Qualifications:
- CCN1 (Domestic core element).
- CENWAT1 (Domestic Gas Central Heating Boilers and Water Heaters).
- CKR1 (Cookers).
- HTR1 (Heaters).
- Desirable: LPG (Bottled Gas) - Required to complete within a reasonable timeframe after successfully passing the probation period.
- Desirable: OFTEC (Oil Qualification) - Required to complete within a reasonable timeframe after successfully passing the probation period.
- Desirable: OFTEC or Equivalent (Solid Fuel Qualification) - Required to complete within a reasonable timeframe after successfully passing the probation period.
- Desirable: Corgi Level 3 Auditing.
- Desirable: Water Regs WRAS.
- Desirable: Unvented Hot Water.
- Desirable: CIH Level 3 in Housing Maintenance and Asset Management.
- Good level of literacy and numeracy.
