Our client, a leading M&E company, is looking for an experienced Buyer to join their procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for M&E projects, ensuring cost efficiency and supply chain reliability.
This is a key role in securing high-quality and cost-effective materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring projects run smoothly from a procurement perspective.
Buyer - M&E
Package
* Up to 40,000 basic salary
* 21 days holiday + BH

Key Responsibilities
* Source, negotiate, and purchase M&E materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
* Identify and develop relationships with reliable and cost-effective suppliers.
* Issue and manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
* Ensure timely delivery of materials to support project schedules.
* Monitor market trends and pricing to secure the best value for the company.
* Conduct cost analysis and negotiate favourable terms with suppliers.
* Assist in budget planning and forecasting for procurement activities.
* Maintain a strong supply chain network, reviewing supplier performance and reliability.
* Conduct supplier pre-qualification checks to ensure compliance with company standards.
* Manage contract variations and ensure supplier agreements align with project requirements.
* Work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and site teams to meet material requirements.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Buyer within the M&E or building services sector.
* Strong knowledge of M&E materials, suppliers, and procurement best practices.
* Excellent negotiation skills with a commercial mindset.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
* Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Construction (CIPS qualification preferred but not essential).
