Job Description
Overview
As part of the Quality Control team, you'll undertake vital tests supporting the production of medical products, provide technical support for new product development and research, and ensure adherence to quality procedures. The role primarily involves working in the analytical lab using various testing equipment for physical testing and wet chemistry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Execute protocols and generate reports supporting QC Analytical.
2. Prepare in-house reagents for QC Analytical.
3. Promote and uphold quality standards within manufacturing and other departments.
4. Organize laboratory workload with regard to safety and accuracy, prioritizing samples effectively.
5. Input data into spreadsheets and databases.
6. Book laboratory chemicals and reagents.
7. Maintain laboratory housekeeping and wash glassware.
8. Ensure testing complies with standard operating procedures.
9. Manage data generated, ensuring completeness and accuracy within deadlines.
10. Raise laboratory investigations when necessary.
11. Order and restock equipment for QC Analytical tests.
12. Check and counter-sign colleagues' work.
13. Support other QC functions, including receiving, inspection, and product release.
Qualifications
* Ability to prioritize workload.
* HNC in Chemistry or relevant subject is desirable but not essential.
* Good organizational skills.
* Ability to operate relevant testing instruments.
* Ability to analyze test results and present reports.
* Problem-solving skills.
* Flexibility in work scheduling and business needs.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Keen attention to detail.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing environments.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Lotus Notes, ERP systems.
* AAS experience is advantageous.
