We are currently recruiting for a Waking night Child Residential Worker whose purpose is to provide the highest possible standard of support and care to children and/or young people with disabilities and challenging behaviour whom reside within our Childrens Home. Our model of care is Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). This role will at times call for an element of personal care. Salary: 5 point incremental scale commencing on £15.54 per hour between 10pm-7am and £12.64 per hour between 7am-9am Hours: 22 hours per week, Shift pattern is 10pm-9am Contract: Temporary until August 2025 Essential Criteria: Level 3 in care related subject Basic Numeracy and literacy (English language) skills Registered or Agreeable to registering with the N. Ireland Social Care Council At least six months experience working with children OR adults with a learning disability and complex needs. Be flexible to work on a rota basis that may include unsocial hours and weekends Desirable Criteria: Degree level qualification in Health/Social Sciences/Youth Work/Social Work Experience in education or health & social care setting Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and awareness of autism spectrum disorder Skills: Social Care Positive Behaviour Support Learning Disability Support Worker Benefits: Group Life Assurance Pension Fund Parking Paid Holidays
