About the Role Are you ready to step up? We are looking to recruit a dynamic and influential Head of Workforce Strategy to join our brilliant team. You will be responsible for the implementation of the Council's People strategy, ensuring its objectives are met to enable our workforce to achieve its full potential. You will work closely with our senior leaders so that our strategies and council plans are aligned. The role encompasses the organisational development, health and safety, raising participation and recruitment and retention teams and we will need your skills to ensure that our programmes and policies enable the organisation to flourish and grow. You will also lead in ensuring the behavioural aspects of our transformation change programme are realised. About you Educated to degree level you will hold chartered membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and have a track record as a senior HR/OD professional. We would love to hear about the strategies and initiatives you have implemented elsewhere. You will need strong leadership skills and an ability to coach, mentor, motivate and inspire the team. Experienced in communicating at all levels you will appreciate the importance of engagement and will be able to demonstrate past experience in this area. You will understand the Local Government landscape and have a grasp of HR and OD practice backed up with a record of continuous professional development.
