The Job
We are seeking a dedicated Product Owner to lead our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) & Discovery initiatives. The CMDB is essential for managing services across IT, ensuring alignment between business functions and IT infrastructure to support current and future needs.
As a Product Owner, you will act as the voice of the customer, developing and communicating the product vision, prioritising deliverables, and ensuring quality control. Your role is crucial in establishing, maintaining, and growing the CMDB across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* CMDB Roadmap & Backlog Management: Establish, prioritise and drive the CMDB product roadmap and backlog in collaboration with global stakeholders and your team.
* Customer Advocacy: Champion customer perspectives and CMDB needs, translating them into clear epics, themes, and user stories.
* Leadership & Decision Making: Make informed decisions on scope and priorities, balancing stakeholder demands.
* Collaboration: Work proactively with other product owners to maintain alignment around product roadmaps and dependencies.
* Strategic Planning: Research market trends and customer insights to inform the product vision and strategy.
* Workshops & Forecasting: Work with technical leads to define the scope and objectives of the CMDB and to maintain and improve the CMDB structure, processes and overall health.
* Communication: Ensure alignment with company strategy through regular communication with stakeholders and product management.
* Release Planning: Lead product release planning and set expectations for new functionalities.
* Operational Management: Define the scope and objectives of the CMDB, manage operations, support users, and evaluate maturity.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* ITIL qualification and relevant experience.
* Solid understanding of ITIL principles and the role of CMDB in IT products.
* Resilience and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively, even in challenging situations, while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Comfortable working with multiple teams, both in-house and remote.
* Attention to detail and experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
It'd also be great - but not essential - if you've got:
* Financial Services experience.
* Any ServiceNow certifications.
* Experience working with global teams.
* Knowledge of agile approaches and recent education in agile practices.
What's in it for you?
* A competitive starting salary from £56,480 - £70,600, depending on the experience you can bring.
* A non-contributory pension between 8%-12%.
* A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance.
* 34 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time).
We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our employees live their best lives.
Join us and be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Your expertise in CMDB will be key to our success. Apply now to help us achieve our business goals and deliver outstanding value to our customers!
