Position Overview: A Fire Safety Manager position within a modern, successful organisation, ensuring the effective management of fire safety risks in the centre. This includes conducting audits, reviews, inspections, and follow-up actions, as well as offering expert advice and guidance to the centre management team and other parts of the business.
Main Duties
Strategic
1. Work with the Centre Risk Manager to ensure that the Fire Strategy is kept up to date.
2. Assist the Risk Manager in promoting and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
3. Promote a positive fire prevention & safety culture throughout the workplace.
Tactical
1. Keep the Centre Fire Risk Assessment under constant review.
2. Monitor all Life Safety Equipment to ensure it is inspected and serviced within appropriate guidelines.
3. Oversee scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and statutory testing of fire systems.
Operational
1. Assist in planning, execution, and debriefs of fire evacuation drills.
2. Monitor fire alarm activations and ensure root causes are understood.
3. Provide Risk Management cover as necessary.
Key Relationships
Build and actively maintain working relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.

1. Excellent analytical skills and significant experience in managing people.
2. Strong oral and written communication skills.
3. Resourceful and creative with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
1. Follow Group and company policies and procedures.
2. Report any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
1. Level 3 or Level 4 FRA certification.
2. Professional membership (IFE/IFSM/IFPO).
3. Experience in health fire and safety legislation.
