DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Transport Manager to play a vital role in coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders, and tracking transportation vehicles.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
1. To directly assist Management by coordinating and generating the shipping requirements for distribution routes, from warehouse to end-user, maintaining precise and up-to-date reports.
2. Maintaining and developing the contract through innovation, cost reduction, and forward thinking.
3. Ensure management of drivers to legal standards to achieve planned deliveries.
4. Set standards and processes with staff and ensure they are maintained.
5. Communication with customers, regular reviews, KPI production.
6. Liaison with service locations to maintain the fleet.
7. Maintain service schedule and control standards and repair costs.
8. Health & Safety responsibility for the operation.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

1. Must be an O License Holder.
2. International CPC License Holder.
3. Experience with vehicle tracking and driver performance.
4. Experience in recruiting, training, counselling, and disciplining staff.
5. Previous and practical experience as a Transport Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment (2 years experience).
6. Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices.
7. Computer literate with practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
8. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise, and train direct reports.
9. A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received.
