Job Title: Team Leader - Children's Residential Home
Location: Westcliff-on-Sea
Salary: £29,120 - £31,200 + Sleep-In & Night Enhancements
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (shifts including evenings, weekends & sleep-ins)
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We're currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join a well-established children's residential home in Westcliff-on-Sea. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive organisation committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care for young people with complex needs, autism, and emotional/behavioural challenges.
As Team Leader, you'll work closely with the Home Manager to support the day-to-day running of the home, lead shifts, support staff, and ensure that the young people in your care are safe, respected, and empowered to thrive.
What We Offer
1. Salary range: £29,120 - £31,200 (based on experience & shift type)
2. Sleep-ins paid at £44.10 per shift
3. Waking nights paid at £16.80/hour

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead, support, and mentor care staff on shift
2. Ensure the physical, emotional, and social needs of young people are met
3. Manage risk assessments, care plans, and safeguarding concerns
4. Contribute to a nurturing, structured, and positive home environment
5. Ensure compliance with OFSTED standards and Children's Home Regulations
6. Act as a positive role model and advocate for the young people
What We're Looking For
1. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting
2. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent - essential)
3. Experience supervising or leading a team in a care environment
4. Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management & trauma-informed care
5. Passionate about making a difference in young people's lives
6. Flexible and committed to working a range of shifts
