Job summary
As aCardiacPhysiologistcandidates will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the care and treatment of patients with cardiovascular conditions.
Candidates must have a solid foundation in general clinical skills and will be performing Echocardiogram and must be able to interpret all diagnostics including 12 lead ECG, 24 hour ECG, 24 Hour blood pressure monitors.

Main duties of the job
ou will support the continued growth and development of the echocardiography and pacing service.
The post holder will also support the Cardiology department in other cardiac investigations. Clinical duties will include performing resting Transthoracic Echo. The successful candidate must independently write clinical reports for transthoracic echocardiography to a BSE standard
7. To participate in cardiac investigations within own skill-base, and have working knowledge of all aspects of all services, including administrative duties. This will include performing tests and providing the reports.
8. The post holder will be expected to act as an independent practitioner without direct supervision.
9. Be aware of BSE, SCST and NICE guidelines and to carry out all procedures in accordance with these nationally agreed guidelines and policies of the department and hospital.
10. Responsible for safe use of complex cardiology testing equipment to ensure patient and personal safety.
11. Write technical reports for relevant investigations.
12. Perform the full compliment of cardiology investigations without medical supervision and maintain awareness when a result requires further immediate follow up and act accordingly.

Job responsibilities
We are looking for enthusiastic BSE accredited Cardiac Physiologists to join our team and provide excellent care to patients.
The post holder will be involved in all aspects of the non-invasive Cardiology Department. First and foremost is the ability to be part of a team. The post holder should possess the skills to perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms
Perform TTE to a high standard in accordance with BSE guidelines and departmental standards. Identifies and advises Team of significant adverse findings Produce accurate and comprehensive report for each study, with responsibility for own caseload. Ensure professional knowledge base is current to reflect best clinical practice.
