About the role This position has security accountabilities within the WEST region (Eur, North America, Canada and LATAM) to support the businesses to achieve their operational and commercial objectives across a complex, regulated and a high security risk environment. This is the most senior security management position within the WEST Region and reports direct to the Head of CSI. This position has domestic and international security accountabilities within the WEST region. It leads the regional implementation of the Corporate Security Policy and Group Security Standards, and the development and delivery of risk based continuous improvement activities. This role includes direct and indirect functional management of regional security managers and additional security personnel. In addition to the regional responsibilities this role is also accountable for ensuring Haleon group security standards are fit for purpose and will take the lead for specific security initiatives as directed by the Head of CSI. The role will be UK or Dubai based. Key responsibilities Develops security strategy for the WEST region and ensures alignment with global security strategy and regional business needs. Maintains a strong understanding of global risks and associated security regulations; identifies significant security risks related to the business operations; directs the design and implementation of programs to prevent and reduce loss of assets. Ensures effective deployment of the strategy, security programs and the security management system, working through site leadership and regional/local security teams and in close co-ordination with the Senior Security Program Manager. Recognised qualifications in Security Management at degree level or business management equivalent Extensive experience working as an international security manager Extensive experience addressing security risks/threats, compiling comprehensive and accurate reports and implementing approved mitigation measures in office settings, supply chains and industrial/manufacturing facilities Thorough knowledge of the design, implementation and management of integrated physical, technical and procedural security controls Experience in security of high value materials in a production and supply chain environment Strong Microsoft Office (or equivalent) skills An ability to operate independently with initiative and to think on your feet and multi-task A focus on quality and an attention to detail with strong problem solving and analytical skills & concise report writing skills. Ambition for self and the organization Ability to support direction of the business and act as a partner SME to other senior leaders on security risk management matters Thorough knowledge of the design, implementation and management of integrated physical, technical and procedural security controls Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills are required to support all levels of Haleon’s leadership with reliable and meaningful information to enable fact-based business decisions Proven management level experience in Security Risk Management and Service Delivery incorporating high risk/threat operations Proven track record leading complex global projects, clients, partners, and organisations simultaneously from business development to final delivery Demonstrated success of implementing security solutions within a commercial environment Proven experience leading and inspiring remote resources and large global teams Linkage to external senior stakeholders (Intelligence Services, Law Enforcement, Military, Security Peers) desirable. Must be flexible, self-starter, team oriented, and capable of multi-tasking. Sound and independent judgement Strong leadership and influencing skills. Ability to operate under pressure. Can function as a team leader and a team member Qualifications and skills Essential Experience in security management from either a former public body (i.e. police, military) or from working within a security function in a commercial company. Demonstrated decision-making and project management skills. Must be highly and effectively organized. Must be flexible, self-starter, team oriented, and capable of multi-tasking. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation. Ability to assess/analyse complex business information and develop appropriate conclusions. Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong leadership and influencing skills.
