CompEx Maintenance Engineer
Contract Duration: 3+ months
Location: Chorley
Rate: £32.50p/h - £35 p/h (Limited Co. - Outside IR35)
A leading UK manufacturer of technical chemicals products is seeking an experienced and highly skilled CompEx Maintenance Engineer for upgrades and general maintenance & repairs. This is an initial 3+ month contract with the likelihood of extension thereafter.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the maintenance of industrial production machinery
* Reporting to the Engineering Manager
* Working to CompEx / Atex regulations
* Reading from engineering drawings, plans and schematics
* Installing distribution, 3-phase power, cabling, transformers, relays, etc., while prioritizing safety
* Measuring and testing electrical supply to correct standards and procedures, and Health & Safety
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* CompEx Qualified - Gas and vapours (Ex01 – Ex04) / ATEX
* Over 5 years’ experience qualified in CompEx
* Ideally level 3 electrical installations / time served electrician
* Strong Health and Safety awareness
* Able to work autonomously with a ‘right first time’ mentality
* Experience within complex installation projects environments
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Reliable and punctual
