My client, a growing successful IT Support company in Dundee, is currently seeking an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join the team. This is a full-time permanent position with a salary of up to 36.5k, dependent on experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert-level support and troubleshooting for a wide range of issues, including but not limited to networking, software, hardware, and security-related concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work alongside Level 1 and Level 2 support teams to escalate and resolve complex issues efficiently while maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
2. Be the point of escalation for critical incidents, demonstrating the ability to analyse, diagnose, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
3. Assist with the design, implementation, and management of IT solutions, including network infrastructure, cloud services, and security protocols.
4. Perform proactive system monitoring, maintenance, and optimisation to identify and address potential issues before they impact clients' operations.
Skills & Experience:
1. 5 years+ of hands-on experience in providing IT support, preferably within an MSP environment.
2. Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Exchange Server.
3. Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing.
4. Familiarity with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure or AWS is a plus.
5. Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
