We are looking for:
Full Time Staff (Qualified) Must Hold SVQ 3 or HNC in Childcare Early Years
Operate a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area in conjunction with other staff.
To keep a proper record of achievement file on your key children, for parents/carers on our Learning Journals System.
Work with parents/carers of all children (including children with additional support needs) to ensure a smooth and full settling/integration in the setting.
Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members.
To be involved in out of work hours activities e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, nursery events etc.
To be flexible within working practice of the setting. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the setting e.g. preparation of snacks, meals, light cleaning duties etc.
Work alongside all staff including, Room Leaders, Head of Centre and Deputy Head of Centre to ensure that our Vision, Values and Aims are being achieved.
Recording accidents as required and ensuring Line Manager has signed before the parent receives it.
Look upon the setting as a “whole” where can your help be most utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of the children.
Ensure the child is collected by someone known to the setting, or had previously been discussed and person has the password.
To respect the confidentiality of information received.
Specific Childcare Tasks:
The preparation and completion of activities to suit the child’s stage of development.
To ensure mealtimes is a time of pleasant social sharing.
Washing and changing children as required.
Providing comfort and warmth to all children as and when required.
1. To ensure the setting is providing a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures, religious backgrounds, stage of development, additional support needs etc.
2. To be aware of the high profile of the setting and to uphold its standards at all times.
3. To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring setting policies and procedures are observed at all times.
4. To maintain your SSSC registration at all times.
