Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to lead UK MOD maritime implementation projects across the Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, and other UK Government vessels. This role involves managing multiple projects, overseeing installations, and ensuring seamless delivery of critical maritime communications and IT solutions.
This is an ideal role for a highly motivated professional with a strong background in project management within the UK defence and maritime sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple maritime installation projects concurrently.
* Develop Equipment Guidance Packages (EGPs), Installation Guidance Packages (IGPs), and Modification Leaflets based on engineering designs, surveys, and stakeholder input.
* Oversee the Change Impact Assessment Process (CIAP), working closely with engineering and assurance teams.
* Provide regular internal project reporting and contribute to customer governance meetings on schedules, risks, and dependencies.
* Manage procurement lead times, ensuring on-time equipment delivery, configuration, and integration.
* Work with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Project Management and through-life support functions.
* Represent the company at key customer project and commercial meetings.
What We’re Looking For
* Project management experience within the UK MOD or other UK government departments.
* Background in UK MOD maritime electrical installation projects.
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, IT networking, and satellite communications.
* Experience writing EGPs, IGPs, and Modification Leaflets.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* High level of customer focus with a proactive and adaptable approach.
* Proficiency in standard office applications and technical documentation.
* Flexibility to travel as required.
* Must hold or be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance.
