Founded in 1970, a specialist Technical Textiles company is recruiting for an all-round Accounts Assistant to join their small and busy office in Bury. This role is working in a team of 3 and covers all aspects of Credit Control, Purchase Ledger, Banking and supporting the Sales Ledger and Payroll functions. This role is offering up to £26,000pa dependent on experience.
What you will be doing:
1. Issuing and reconciling customer statements
2. Ensuring customers pay on time
3. Starting legal proceedings if clients do not pay their debts on time
4. Maintaining accurate records
5. Processing purchase invoices
6. Making payments - sending remittances
7. Reconciling the bank
8. Cash flow forecasting
9. Making payments - purchase invoices - payroll - miscellaneous expenses
About you:
1. Experience in Accounts Assistant role minimum 2 years
2. Strong basic Excel knowledge (sums, basic formulas)
3. Ability to work in the office full time
4. Experience working with multi-currency bank accounts (desirable)
