Our Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWP) deliver a range of brief low intensity, evidence-based psychological therapies.
The post holder will work with children and young people (0-18 years) with the principal objectives of providing assessment and intervention to those who have mental health needs.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and liaising closely with other agencies, you will assess, plan, and implement care for children with mental health needs.

The post holder will be working in the Tees Getting Help team across the Teesside area. The team is currently based at Evergreen, Acklam Road Hospital, though this may change in the future.
We are keen to hear from suitably qualified and experienced individuals. Applicants wishing to work part-time hours will be considered. There are two posts available - 1 year fixed term & 9 months fixed term.
Please note that CWP registration is a requirement for this post.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will work within the CAMHS team providing assessment and CBT-based low intensity interventions to individuals and groups. The post holder will work with young people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and should be committed to equal opportunities.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Successfully completed British Psychological Society (BPS) Accredited or Higher Education England (HEE) Approved academic course of study in line with the CYP IAPT Low Intensity National Programme and will be qualified as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP).
* Professional registration as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) with an appropriate regulatory body (e.g. British Psychological Society (BPS) or British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)).
Experience
* Experience of working with children and young people with mental health problems.
* Experience of delivering low intensity CBT and parent-led CBT within children and young people's services.
* Worked in a service where agreed targets are in place demonstrating clinical outcomes.
* Experience of delivering psycho-educational groups.
Skills
* Skilled in delivering low intensity interventions including parent-led CBT.
Knowledge
* Demonstrates an understanding of anxiety and depressive disorders and how they may present in young people.
