Event & Marketing Coordinator, Golf
To assist in the marketing, logistical and administrative delivery of the portfolio of Golf Events across the Golf Department.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Operations:
1. Provide timely and efficient operational assistance on various events and projects, focusing on but not limited to Hospitality and VIP guest programmes, catering, special events and functions, accommodation, transport, accreditation, gifting, clothing and Pro-Am coordination.
2. Draft briefing documents and provide timely reporting and minute-taking, following up with team members as required.
3. Working with suppliers and contractors to draw up specs and scopes of work.
4. Initiating and processing supplier contracts and invoices.
5. Collating required health and safety documentation prior to the events.
6. Act as a strong IMG representative onsite at events.
7. Provide onsite event operational logistic support at golf tournaments.
8. Provide practical support for the day-to-day business.
9. Any other duties that are within the scope of the role as required.
Marketing:
1. Assist the Senior Marketing Manager as directed on the marketing campaigns for golf events including the Women’s Scottish Open, The Solheim Cup and the Saudi International.
2. Support the digital marketing activities including social media monitoring, customer enquiries, emails and assisting with content creation and ideas.
3. Assist with the ticketing set-up for all ticket agencies on assigned events.
4. Creation, execution and analysis of post-event marketing surveys.
5. Production of weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual marketing reports.
6. Coordination of meeting minutes, agendas and planning documents to ensure smooth campaign delivery.
Unusual Challenges or Circumstances
1. Regular weekend work where you will be required to travel to events in line with the Golf portfolio, including but not limited to ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open, AIG Women’s Open, Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, PIF Saudi International, The Solheim Cup and International Series events.
2. Outside of event travel, there may be a requirement to travel for meetings and provide additional support as part of the role.
3. There will be some unsociable hours involved in line with the nature of golf events, early tee times and evening functions.

1. Experienced user of MS Office Software.
2. An understanding of the Golf Industry is preferred but not essential.
3. Experience working in the events environment.
4. Experience in delivering marketing campaigns and social media output.
5. Demonstrable time management and prioritisation skills.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
7. Demonstrate attention to detail and output focus.

Qualifications and Training
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent is preferred.
2. UK Driving License.
3. First Aid training desirable.
4. ISOH certification desirable.
