If you are looking for a new challenge, then the Access Safeguarding Team is for you! We are delighted to announce that we are seeking to appoint a safeguarding social worker with at least 2 years’ experience and a good understanding of Safeguarding Adults.
To help us recruit social workers who are committed to working in Middlesbrough, we are currently offering a 10% supplement to social work salaries. This additional 10% will be reviewed at the end of March 2025.
The Safeguarding Social Worker role involves working with adults over 18 who are at risk of abuse or neglect. The role will involve triaging safeguarding concerns and undertaking initial and s42 Enquiries in line with the Teeswide Safeguarding Board (TSAB) policies and procedures.
Successful candidates must be able to evaluate and analyse information gathered and evidence sound decision making. This requires in-depth knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Making Safeguarding Personal, The Human Rights Act 1998, and the Mental Capacity Act 2004. Additional responsibilities include giving advice and guidance in relation to Safeguarding to members of the public and to professionals.
In return, you will receive superb training opportunities and career planning alongside flexible working with the option of a blended working environment (home and office where appropriate).
New staff joining Middlesbrough can expect a warm welcome from the team, directors, and Chief Executive, as well as a workplace buddy and full induction process. At Middlesbrough, we truly live our values and incorporate them into everything we do. We are passionate about improving the lives of our residents, focused on achieving best outcomes, and creative in the way we work with customers, ensuring they get the best support available.
If you are a qualified social worker with the skills and drive to help continue to improve services and support for our adults, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.
