Job Summary
A competitive salary of £28,* - £37,*per annum, 30 days' holiday (pro rata), and a pension scheme are offered for this role in Lidl's Customs department. We're seeking a Customs Classification Administrator who is logical, passionate about details, and has prior experience in the Customs landscape.
About the Role
In this busy and exciting area, you will be responsible for collecting detailed information from various sources to enable classification, performing and reviewing classification, and investigating trade agreements and import requirements.
Your Responsibilities
* Collecting and analyzing data from internal and external sources to classify products.
* Accurate data entry and record-keeping.
* Reviewing and classifying products based on import requirements and prohibitions.
* Communicating with stakeholders to determine product eligibility.
* Maintaining and improving our classification log.
* Creating process flow charts and guides for team members and business stakeholders.
Your Requirements
* Prior experience in Customs procedures is essential.
* An understanding of Import and Export Customs procedures.
* Working knowledge of the UK Tariff Schedule and application of the General Rules of Interpretation (GIR) and Explanatory Notes.
* Data analysis skills.
* Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficient Excel skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
