Job Description Job Title: FLT Driver Reports to: Warehouse Manager Based at: Washington Job Purpose: Ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand. Duties / Key Responsibilities: Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload deliveries Move goods and materials for storage around the warehouse safely and efficiently. Ensure everything is stacked and stored safely and rotated where necessary Check for damaged goods and report any shortages or quality deficiencies Assist with inventory counts and stock takes and maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work Pick and pack orders for dispatch as per customer requirements Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards Adhere to all health and safety regulations when operating the forklift and wear the correct PPE at all times Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures and report any hazards as and when they are discovered Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to your Line Manager Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse and ensure no debris or stock is left in areas that could cause a hazard, ensuring maximum operational efficiency at all times Key Skills: An understanding of health and safety regulations pertaining to equipment operation in the work environment Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team Ability to work accurately and methodically Good communication, numeracy and IT skills Good level of physical fitness – must be able to lift, carry and manoeuvre heavy goods safely Flexible approach to duties and tasks Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality Qualifications: Up to date FLT License Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 06:00 – 14:00 OR 08:00 – 16:00 Pay Rate: Up to £14.00ph paid via PAYE
