Role Overview This role is at the forefront of transforming our processes, enhancing automation, improving efficiency, and mitigating risks, while delivering robust reporting tools that provide greater insight and control for strategic decision-making. As a key contributor, you will manage and foster strong relationships with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, both internal and external. This includes collaborating with IT, Compliance, and Risk departments, engaging with committees, and liaising with regulators to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful project delivery. Role Responsibilities Collaborate with finance teams to identify processes that can benefit from automation, defining business requirements and translating them into actionable project deliverables. Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines, MI dashboards, and data models to deliver effective solutions with a focus on Finance activities. Ensure data solutions are accessible and actionable for decision-makers, including creating reports and enabling self-service access. Analyse complex data from multiple sources using tools such as APIs and SQL, consolidating information into meaningful insights. Identify and address data quality issues, proposing solutions to cleanse, normalise, or prevent poor data entry. Explore and recommend emerging technologies to enhance business intelligence and management information systems. Lead diverse projects across data, reporting, and process improvement, including visualisation, ETL development, and regulatory reporting. Administer and optimise Alteryx servers, support gallery users, and share best practices with internal Alteryx developers. Maintain a detailed project list, manage project delivery according to company methodologies, and take ownership of key initiatives. Actively manage stakeholders to understand reporting needs, identify pain points, and deliver tailored solutions from concept to completion. Provide training on tools, systems, and best practices to finance and cross-functional teams as needed. Develop and execute clear communication plans throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment and engagement. Experience / Competences Essential Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., Finance, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics). Proven subject matter expertise in areas related to Finance, Business Intelligence, and Data Analytics. Demonstrated technical grounding with demonstrable programming or scripting skills (e.g., SQL). Deep understanding of database and data modelling concepts. Highly proficient in Alteryx (or similar ETL tools), Qlik, Power BI, or other data visualisation software. Advanced skills in Power Query and Excel, with the ability to create complex models and analyses. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders effectively. Demonstrated ability to deliver projects in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities and scope. Extensive experience in a project-focused role with a strong track record of successful delivery, including leading key initiatives. Expertise in process analysis, design, and engineering, translating complex business requirements into actionable solutions. Desired Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in Finance, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics. Passionate about data and analytics, with a commitment to driving insights that inform decision-making. Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA or similar software. Exposure to technical finance or regulatory frameworks. Experience with modern scripting languages like Python or R. Familiarity with Oracle, Concur, or OneStream in a project context. Experience working with APIs to facilitate data integration and automation. Background in developing or enhancing finance systems, including regulatory reporting solutions.
