About the Role:
Join our Seeker and Datalink Systems team as an Antenna Design Engineer! In this role, you'll engage in computer modeling, prototype build and test, and collaborate with suppliers, presenting results to project stakeholders. This position offers a chance to work on cutting-edge antenna technology for next-generation products. Our team focuses on intricate designs with tight deadlines, ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
* Design novel antennas for multi-mode seekers using wideband active and passive sensors, leveraging the latest in additive layer manufacturing.
* Develop solutions for higher-level product development, considering constraints like limited space and harsh operating environments.
* Conduct electromagnetic modeling in Ansys HFSS, perform complex simulations of antenna structures, and process data using MATLAB.
* Oversee the transition of development hardware into production.
* Work cross-functionally with RF Engineers, Seeker Systems teams, EO & IR Sensors teams, among others.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in antenna design.
* Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation using tools like HFSS or CST Studio.
* Knowledge of microwave frequencies, ideally UHF and frequencies above X-band.
* A degree or higher-level qualification in a relevant field.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Hands-on experience in a lab environment, including the use of test equipment and anechoic chambers, is a plus but not essential.
