Utopian Professional Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be appointed to work in partnership with a bespoke wealth management company who are going through a period of growth and looking to recruit a Paraplanning Manager. This is a full time, permanent role and will primarily be office based with the opportunity to work hybrid after probation. The purpose of this role will be to lead and develop a team of Paraplanners as well as undertake paraplanning duties alongside the team. Your main responsibilities will include: Recruit, manage, train and develop a high calibre team of paraplanners First line checks on quality of reports, turnaround times and adherence to processes. Working as part of the regional leadership team. Ensure the paraplanning team adheres to all standard operating procedures, policies and processes and in accordance with all FCA regulations that apply to the conduct of the business Oversee the accurate analysis of clients’ financial needs and goals, to develop lifetime planning strategies and to proactively support the provision of an ongoing advice service to our clients Attend meetings with clients alongside Financial Planners when required Work in accordance with the business Central Investment Proposition, following all relevant exception processes as necessary Carry out product and fund research using company standard research tools where appropriate Prepare cash flow modelling and pension income drawdown forecasts Prepare illustrations, recommendation reports and client correspondence to target deadlines Ensure all client work is compliant and supported with relevant paperwork Ensure all Suitability and letter templates are kept up to date in accordance with the business standard operating procedures and processes Monitor team workflows ensuring there is clear oversight over individual capacity and performance Complete regular one to one’s with all members of the paraplanning team and facilitate team meetings with recorded actions as appropriate Provide new joiners a comprehensive induction and monitor/record the ongoing training requirements of the paraplanning team Identify strengths and areas of development within the team and organise structured training to improve knowledge base and skills within the team Encourage and support personal development, professional exams and progression within Client Operations and wider teams as appropriate Liaise with financial planners and client services teams, deal with any escalations in a timely and efficient manner Attend monthly Financial Planner meetings encouraging open communication regarding working practices Facilitate monthly Paraplanning forum, encouraging open collaboration and communication across the region and between regions Skills and Experience Full Qualified Paraplanner Previous experience of mentoring, coaching, leading and/or managing others Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build rapport, influence, be approachable with excellent attention to detail Be able to roll out new processes to team members Previous background working within a IFA or Financial Services organisation Highly organised, self motivated and proactive Good knowledge of using Microsoft Office packages in particular Excel and Word IT literate Benefits Generous holiday allowance Fully training and ongoing personal development Group pension scheme Employee Assistance Programme Death in Service Flexible Benefits Package which includes Buy and Sell Holidays, Cycle2Work Scheme, PMI, Health Cash Plan, Dental Cover & retail discounts Great opportunities for career progression including all the support you need to reach your career goals Annual pay review: performance-linked pay increase and an annual bonus linked to company performance and KPIs This is a fantastic opportunity for a ambitious and dedicated individual who has a passion for delivering work to the highest standards and is looking for a rewarding career.
